A film about an elegant piece of design that transforms a familiar everyday moment into an opportunity for early health screening.

Created by Yidan Xu after her father was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, Urify uses a simple colour-change response to help reveal an early warning sign of the condition.

I directed, produced and edited the film, working with Yidan to balance the personal story behind the invention with the precision and simplicity of the design itself. The aim was to make a complex health issue feel clear, human and visually refined.
