Civilisations: Rise & Fall

A four-part series exploring the rise and collapse of Rome, ancient Egypt, the Aztec empire and Japan’s samurai order through the objects, ideas and conflicts they left behind.

I was brought in to create the series pretitle, shaping the opening rhythm, tone and visual language of the films. I also worked on the Egypt episode, cutting sections of the dramatic reconstruction and helping shape how those sequences sat within the wider historical storytelling.
